Marine Corps 250th Birthday

This November 10th marks the 250th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps. Anyone that knows me knows it no secret the early years of my adult life were spent with my head in the mud, hiking up hills with a pack and a radio on my back, or just doing a whole lot of fun stuff with a group that became more like a family to me than my own family ever was. On Friday I flew across the country to NY this week to hangout with one of my Marine brothers I have known for 30 years another of our friends is flying up from Atlanta to meet with us. We are going to dinner in the city with 700 other Marines and I can't wait to meet as many of those 700 as I can.

I don't try to explain what is like when you get together with this many Marines from so many different generations but to me its like a hug from everyone you have ever loved all at once. I'll try to post some pictures once the event is over.
